The reason that we pray is that we know we cannot control the future. We do serve a God who is in control of the future. There truly is something special when we humble ourselves and pray to the one and only true God. When we realize that we could do nothing if He were not in control.
We, as believers are called to pray. There are several places in the Bible that talks about how we are to pray. They say things like “Pray continually”, and “Pray without ceasing.”
Here at Highland Avenue UB Church we believe that prayer changes things and encourage all of our members to have a prayer life.
